TWO SCULPTURES, CHINA, QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY

In polychrome porcelain, depicting two of the Eight Immortals: Tieguaili and Zhongli Quan. Both figures are shown riding mythical animals – Tieguaili on a Phoenix and Zhongli Quan on a Crane – with bases adorned with colorful stylized clouds, symbolizing their connection to the celestial realm.

In porcellana policroma raffiguranti due dei Otto Immortali: Tieguaili e Zhongli Quan. Entrambe le figure sono rappresentate mentre cavalcano animali mitologici – Tieguaili su una Fenice e Zhongli Quan su una gru – con basi decorate da nubi stilizzate colorate, simbolo di connessione con il mondo celeste.
