A 3 night’s stay for 2 people in the
deluxe penthouse of the Palazzo
Gondi, in the heart of Florence.
In 1489 the famous architect Giuliano da Sangallo,
was commissioned by the banker Giuliano Gondi
to build this magnificent palazzo for an ancestor
of the present owners, following the tradition of
the great Florentine Renaissance palaces such
as Palazzo Strozzi and Palazzo Medici Riccardi.
The Marquises Bernardo and Vittoria Gondi
have overseen a careful restoration of their stately
mansion and offer the extraordinary top floor
for deluxe hospitality. The penthouse, with the
14th century Altana loggia and all the terraces
around it, boasts the most stunning and unique
views of Florence and the surrounding hills. It
is immaculately kept and is flooded with light,
and at night the Duomo, the Palazzo Vecchio, the
church of Santa Croce, the Badia and the Bargello
palace seem magically floating over the dark
roofs of the city. It’s possibly, the most wonderful
location in Florence.
