The impressive villa still belongs to the Emo

Capodilista family who commissioned its

construction in the 1500’s. Ideally located on a

hilltop, next to the Regional Park of the Euganean Hills and only a 45 minutes drive from Venice, the villa offers comfortable and luxurious rooms which retain all their past splendor. The interiors and the loggias are lavishly decorated by frescoes and Venetian stucco decorations of the highest quality. It is surrounded by a raised formal Italian garden and a 6 hectar park with a swimming pool

for the guests. La Montecchia starred as Portia’s

house in the movie “The Merchant of Venice”

with Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons.
