The work is accompanied by an authentic artist on photography"The biographies often fly over the ten years of Turcato's career following the War, but in reality this period is recognized as the one in which much of the artist's research is rooted and his future tendencies and discoveries." Studying the way Turcato struggle to reconcile political faith with the desire for artistic freedom, it favors the understanding of all its subsequent production. The great quantity of artistic and cultural groups founded in the post-war years highlights the general desire of the nation to build a new social and political reality. In the autumn of 1945, in the avant-garde, Giulio Turcato contributes to the foundation of the Art Club, the first Italian art association, together with the ex-futurist Enrico Prampolini and the Polish artist Joseph Jarema, also participating in the first exhibition of the association, I Mostra dell'Art Club, at the San Marco Gallery. The Art Club is a space where artists can exhibit but also meet informally, and where, in a wider vision, they are able to connect to the international artistic community through an innovative and universal language. This internationalist breakthrough is promoted , among other things, from the exhibition of today's French painting, organized by Palma Bucarelli in 1946 at the National Gallery of Modern Art ".
