"You can paint with photography, and photograph with painting" Cit. Luciano Ventrone.
Luciano Ventrone, master of contemporary painting, internationally recognized, was born in Rome in 1942. In 1983 an article written by Antonello Trombadori on "L'Europeo" induced the art historian Federico Zeri to take an interest in the artist, suggesting that he tackle the theme of still lifes. It is here that begins its long, and yet not complete, research on the various aspects of nature, capturing details more and more detailed and almost invisible to "eyes bombarded by millions of images", which are those of men of our era. This is the search for Ventrone that has aroused, in the decades, the attention, among others, of Federico Zeri, Sergio Zavoli, Duccio Trombadori, Marco Di Capua, Vittorio Sgarbi, Achille Bonito Oliva, Roberto Tassi, Giorgio Soavi, Edward Lucie- Smith, Angelo Crespi, Beatrice Buscaroli, Eugenia Petrova.
