A BRAND NEW, ONE OWNER, GTV
The Giulia GT was produced in various versions from 1963 to 1976.
It was a very successful design by Giugiaro, then working for Bertone, initially produced with 1300 and 1600 engines.
When in 1967 the new 1750 Saloon was introduced, work started immediately on a 1750 version of the GT: launched in 1968 as the GTV, it was the first with the new ‘stepless’ nose, specific rear lights, special interior with unique seats with special headrests, and even the leather upholstery was available.
During 1969 the car received a number of modifications, such as body mounted front city lights and normal headrests, and turned into the 2nd Series.
The 1st Series therefore was produced just for little more than one year, and had a richer and unique trim.
The car on offer today, one of the last 1st Series, had just one owner who in 1984 stopped driving her and gave the plates back. The vendor acquired the car a few years ago and restored it completely, to as new condition.
It sports a very rare leather interior, available at extra cost on cars with metallic paint only, and the drivetrain is at zero miles.
It can easily be re-registered in Italy or exported, as all the paperwork is there and the registration number is known.
The vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition but for safety reasons, we advise the purchaser to have it checked over and to replace the fluids, filters and perishable elements.
