PRISTINE EXAMPLE OF THE INNOVATIVE FRENCH FLAGSHIP
For twenty years, from 1955 to 1975, Citroën produced the world’s most innovative saloon.
Some of its ground-braking features were the very aerodynamic bodywork, but what really made the difference was the hydro-pneumatic suspension system, which gave these cars a uniquely comfortable ride.
The DS being considered quite expensive, Citroën launched a simplified and cheaper version called the ID.
During the years, this version was updated and ‘enriched’ so that, when in 1969 it was renamed D Super, it was better than the original DSs were.
The Citroën offered today was originally sold in Austria and has been completely refurbished two years ago. Among the jobs done, please note the complete overhaul of the brake, hydraulic and elecrtic systems, and fitting of new spheres, alternator, starter motor and fuel pump.
Being in very good condition and low mileage, she just received a light polish on the body and a good clean inside. Only the driving seat has been refurbished, with original material.
This vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition but for safety reasons, we advise the purchaser to check its fluids, filters and perishable elements.
