Create da Visconti nel 1998 per i Musei Vaticani, queste penne sono state nominate le penne ufficiali per il Vaticano nel 2000. Il pennino e il cappuccio delle penne sono ornati con lo stemma ufficiale del Vaticano. Finemente scolpite con un motivo che riecheggia i motivi stravaganti che decorano le pareti degli antichi palazzi romani e dei Palazzi Vaticani e che ispirò l'origine del nome: "Le Grottesche". Solo 1999 di queste penne furono prodotte da Visconti in tutto il mondo.

Created by Visconti in 1998 for the Musei Vaticani, these pens were named the official pens for the Vatican in 2000. The nib and the cap of the pens are adorned with the official crest of the Vatican. These pens are intricately carved with a pattern echoing the extravagant motifs decorating the walls of Ancient Roman palaces and the Vatican Palaces, from which it originates the name: "Le Grottesche." Only 1999 of these pens were produced by Visconti worldwide.
