On June the 22nd the Department of Modern and Contemporary Art will present the summer auction which will offer a wide collection of works by artists of national and international remark. Paintings and sculptures that cover the time line of the whole '900: from Salvador Dalì to Sonia Delaunay, from Christo to Sol Lewitt, from some of the main Italian masters of the early twentieth century such as Giacomo Balla, a series of works from important private collections, Fortunato Depero or Renato Guttuso, with a large and historically important canvas. And again, Antonio Ligabue, inevitable artist in our sales, with a very rare Self-portrait (with a white butterfly).

Also very interesting, the part dedicated to sculpture, between ceramics and bronze, in which stands out names such as Lucio Fontana with two splendid 50s ceramics, Arnaldo Pomodoro with some works including an important Sfera, Giorgio de Chirico, Luigi Ontani up to to reach the more contemporary Bertozzi and Casoni.

We also report the presence of important works on paper and canvas, of various sizes, made by masters such as Andy Warhol, Henry Moore and the Italians Mario Schifano, Salvo, Emilio Vedova, Alighieri Boetti, Emilio Isgrò, Fausto Melotti, Ottone Rosai, Massimo Campigli, Mimmo Rotella, Carlo Mattioli, Mimmo Paladino, Domenico Gnoli, Luigi Ontani, Ketty La Rocca, just to name a few.

In addition to a rich and sophisticated catalog, we will propose into this auction the collection of Alain Toubas, director of the Compagnia del Disegno, all works come from Giovanni Testori collection, a friend and lifelong companion. In the dedicated section will be displayed works by Paolo Valloz, a great work by Christian Schad with Portrait of Alain Toubais, a gift from Giovanni Testori for Toubas' birthday, a large sculpture by Javier Marin San Sebastian, Francis Gruber with a Still life with melon , and two more paintings by Varlin (Willy Guggenheim) D'Apres Goya, as well as a series of drawings. Sculpture was a founding element of the Testori / Toubas collection which is here rapresented with works by Christian Zucconi, Giovanni Paganin, Ernesto Ornati. There are also numerous works on paper from Maximilian Luce to Emile Bernard, from Jose Jardel to Luca Crocicchi.

A refined proposal of works of great quality and value, authenticated, published and with unpublished stories, which will be exhibited at the Swiss Center in Milan.
