Bio
Maria Thereza Alves (San Paolo, 1961) is a Brazilian artist and activist who now lives between Naples and Berlin.
In 1986, he was one of the co-founders of the Green Party in Sao Paulo in Brazil. Maria Thereza Alves creates site-specific works on the themes of art and ecology, local and environmental history, involving botanists, public officials, and communities. Alves believes that art is a means through which knowledge can be developed and made shareable.
