The spring session devoted to Paintings and Sculptures of the 19th and 20th centuries will present a large selection of the production of the most important Italian and foreign schools, from portraiture to landscape. Among the many works, we find the manly portraits of Alessandro Milesi and Oscar Ghiglia, the penetrating melancholy of Ansa del Sile by Pietro Fragiacomo, as well as an open window on the decadent elegance of Byzantine Rome in the Portrait of a Gentlewoman by Lili Helbig Morani. In addition, there is a work by Symbolist Von Stuck, an interesting variety of Central European works with a Secessionist flavor, and an evocative Crucifixion by Annigoni, while sculpture is represented by the beautiful mask portraying Giuseppe Verdi created by Giuseppe Gronchi, as well as a terracotta by Bouschard impressionistically immortalizing violinist Teresina Tua.
