Born in Milan in 1935, Alba Polenghi Lisca attended the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
Her artistic identity started in the 1960s with the informal gestural painting.
At the beginning of the 1980s, she abandoned painting to dedicate herself to drawing and creating jewellery, without ever losing sight of her main premises, namely those of abstract imagination.
Geometric principles, "golden mathematics" and classical studies of proportions form the aesthetic vocabulary of jewels. Triangle, square, pyramid and related segmentations dominate the field. The cut, the superposition of opaque and shiny surfaces, their contrast and their meeting are at the center of her stylistic research.
