We are delighted to announce the next auction dedicated to ceramics, which will take place online from 27 June to 4 July 2024, entitled ‘Ceramics. Majolica and Porcelain from the 16th to the 19th Century'. On this occasion, artefacts of exceptional quality will be up for auction, including majolica from the major centres of Italian production and beyond, as well as Italian, French and German porcelain.
Italian majolica is represented in all its main manufactures, with works made in Deruta, Faenza, Urbino, Montelupo, Savona, Nove, Venice and Milan, just to name the major centres, with plates, crespine, albarelli and vases of various kinds. These include an important nucleus of majolica from the Clerici manufactory in Milan. There will also be examples of international production such as Spanish lustre majolica, especially from the Manisés kilns.
This interesting selection is accompanied by some elegant porcelain examples from important Italian and international productions, such as the now unmissable nucleus dedicated to the Ginori manufactory.
The department is available to conduct confidential and discreet evaluations. For any listings of works in this sale, as well as for further information about the auction, please contact us at arredi@ pandolfini.it
