Carlo Giuliano was an Italian goldsmith. Born in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and precisely in Naples in 1831, after starting to work in the goldsmith's shop of Alessandro Castellani he moved to London where he worked for the main London jewelers such as Robert Phillips and Hancocks & Co. At that time, the archaeological excavations in Greece and Egypt brought, among the aristocracy and the bourgeoisie, the fashion of classical and Renaissance motifs in clothing and jewellery. From this was born a passion for the spectacular neo-classical jewels, created by Giuliano, which made him famous.
