AN INCENSE BURNER, JAPAN, MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY

Made of Satsuma-yaki porcelain, with a lid topped by a guardian lion (Foo dog). The body is decorated with floral motifs, mainly peonies, with details in gold and polychrome enamel. The handles are elegantly adorned, and the burner is supported by three figures of children dressed in traditional garments.

In porcellana Satsuma-Yaki, con coperchio sormontato da un leone guardiano (Foo dog). Il corpo presenta motivi floreali, principalmente peonie, con dettagli in oro e smalto policromo. I manici sono elegantemente decorati e l'oggetto è sorretto da tre figure di bambini in abiti tradizionali.
