In quarto (200 x 140 mm); [8], 10, 122 pagine. 15 tavole incise in rame ripiegate in fine volume (solo le prime carte arrossate.) Legatura coeva in piena pergamena, titolo manoscritto al dorso.
Importante trattato che descrive l’orologio meccanico costruito dall’autore, che teneva conto delle variazioni annue della durata del giorno e quindi delle ore. Moncada Lo Giudice 283; Baillie pp. 215-217: “The author, evidently a competent mathematician, devised a means of arranging a clock to show the unequel hours, or the hours formed by deviding the times between sunrise and sunset, and between sunset and sunrise, each into 12 parts... Unequal hours were used... till quite a late date, and two clocks in the Nürnberg Museum had dials divided to show them. Bonhomo's device is far better than that of either of these clocks».
