We are pleased to announce the first annual event of the Department of Old Master Paintings with the ARCADE I PAINTINGS FROM THE 15TH TO THE 19TH CENTURY auction, which will take place on March 27, 2025, in Florence at the historic Palazzo Ramirez Montalvo.
In the catalog, collectors, scholars, and art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to appreciate a carefully curated selection of works, including the monumental Capriccio Architettonico by Pietro Cappelli and the impassive face of the Christ Carrying the Cross painted by Vincenzo Catena.
The auction will also be enriched by a session featuring around thirty works that once belonged to the art historian and museologist Antonio Paolucci. Paolucci's deep passion for painting and his refined taste in selecting works of art for his personal collection are exemplified here by the Sacra Famiglia con San Giovannino, dated 1563, and the small yet elegant Male Portrait created by a French artist active between the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
The department is available to conduct confidential and private evaluations. For further information regarding the auction, please kindly contact us at dipintiantichi@pandolfini.it.
