MATERIA is what exists before any transformation, the raw substance from which everything comes to life.

From the stone of its land of origin to the wood that houses it, from the fermentation that changes its structure to the ageing that determines its identity, wine is the perfect expression of matter that becomes form: this is celebrated within the catalogue: some of the greatest expressions of Italian and French terroir, selecting labels that represent the pinnacle of world winemaking. From the hills of Tuscany and Piedmont to the legendary vineyards of Burgundy and Bordeaux, the auction to be held on 10 and 11 April is a tribute to the dedication of generations of winemakers.

The afternoon of the first day opens with the session dedicated to Italy. This will feature a parterre of names that embody the prestige and elegance of our wine tradition. Sassicaia, Masseto and Ornellaia, the undisputed icons of Bolgheri, with their interpretations of extraordinary finesse and power. From Tuscany also comes Montevertine, an authentic expression of Sangiovese in its purest form, and the great Brunellos of Montalcino, such as Biondi Santi and Soldera

From the Piedmontese Langhe emerge timeless masterpieces such as Monfortino by Giacomo Conterno, a symbol of longevity and refinement, and the unparalleled creations of Bruno Giacosa, whose Riserva selections have defined the style of Barolo and Barbaresco. Also representing the elegance of Nebbiolo is Gaja, a name that revolutionised the perception of Italian wine in the world. There is also the refinement of the classic method with Giulio Ferrari, an icon of Italian bubbles, appreciated for its extraordinary complexity and freshness.

The second day is entirely dedicated to foreign wines, in particular neighbouring France. The selection from beyond the Alps is distinguished by the presence of true legends of winemaking. Among the Bordeaux wines, the most sought-after labels in the world stand out: Mouton Rothschild and Pétrus, two expressions of opulence and longevity that make collectors dream.

For Champagne lovers, the auction offers an extraordinary selection with numerous lots of Dom Pérignon and Krug, two maisons that embody absolute luxury and refinement. In addition, there is no shortage of cult productions by Selosse and Salon, true rarities that captivate with their expressiveness and craftsmanship.

Burgundy, which closes the third and final session of the auction, is represented by the most coveted labels: Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, symbol of rarity and perfection, together with the sublime creations of Domaine Armand Rousseau, Leroy and d'Auveney, to name but a few, which enchant with their aromatic complexity and seductive structure.

This auction is a unique opportunity for enthusiasts and collectors wishing to add priceless bottles to their cellar. Each lot tells a story of tradition, terroir and dedication, and represents an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire wines destined to leave an indelible mark on memory and time.

Whether it is a vintage Barolo, a legendary Bordeaux or a mythical Champagne, each selected bottle is a tangible testimony to the wine's greatness. Materia is not just an auction: it is a sensory journey through the best of world winemaking, a tribute to the purest substance that makes wine a timeless art.
